DLSR Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are designed for the purposes of capturing, storing, manipulating and presenting geographical data. Mostly, these systems are customized to serve the specific needs of various organizations. They work by created digital data for spatial areas for any of a variety of reasons. Therefore, a geographical information system that has been designed for a specified purpose in a certain organization may not be compatible or even interoperable with another system that serves another purpose in the same or in a different organization.
